Together we are vaccinating Greater Wellington against COVID-19

We have begun vaccinating our Group 3 priority population. You are part of this group if you:

  • are over 65
  • have a relevant underlying health condition
  • are pregnant
  • have a disability

You don’t need to do anything - we will contact you directly when it is your turn to book a vaccination appointment.

Everybody in Group 3 will be invited to book their appointment by the end of July.

Frontline emergency service workers

Your employer is organising your vaccination directly. Please contact them to find out when you will be vaccinated.

Long-term residential care

We have delivered on-site vaccinations to all aged residential care facilities in our region, and are working through delivery for disability and mental health residential care. Please talk to your facility manager for details on when we will be offering vaccinations at your facility.

If you are moving in to a facility that has already been vaccinated, your facility will assist you to book in at one of our Community Vaccination Centres.

Older Māori and Pacific people living in the community

If you are in Wellington, Porirua, the Kāpiti Coast or the Hutt Valley:

We are now vaccinating people in this category. We will be in contact with you when it is time for your vaccination.

If you are in the Wairarapa:

We are working with Māori and Pacific community leaders and organisations to identify the best way to vaccinate this group. In the interim, if you qualify here and would like to be vaccinated sooner, you can call 06 946 9800 and ask to speak with the Māori Health Directorate.
